About Us

Arab City Schools has been one of the top-performing school systems in the State for more than 25 consecutive years. The school focuses on preparing young people for future careers while partnering with local colleges to provide dual enrollment programs for college credit.

Additionally, Arab High School offers a career technical program with classes in pre-engineering, precision machining technology, Agri-Science, drafting technology, and business applications. The high school robotics program incorporates engineering skills to create robotic equipment and has won regional competitions for its unique designs.

In August 2019, both the Robotics and Precision Machining Programs were recognized by NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine, Congressman Robert Aderholt, & US Astronaut Ricky Arnold, who paid a visit to see first-hand what these students had achieved.

The Arab High School HOSA, Future Health Professionals, is nationally recognized and has been ranked No. 1 in the State for 39 of the last 42 consecutive years, ranking in the Top 3 the other 3 years. This group of exceptional individuals truly reflects the commitment to excellence that has been made by the high school administration and faculty.

In 2019, the Arab Elementary School conducted the first Amazing Shake Competition, and students from 3rd – 5th Grades were scored on eye contact, smile, greeting, handshake, and the ability to initiate and carry on a one-minute conversation with a panel of judges. There were 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners from each grade and one Overall Winner. Miss Eliza Trammell, a third-grade student, earned the coveted title, as the first AES Amazing Shake Winner, largely due to her expressive 5-minute long speech that she presented to the entire Arab Elementary School student body, a second panel of judges, family members, friends, faculty and staff.

With a successful Pre-K program, a nationally recognized musical theater program, choral and band programs, and athletic programs including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, track, volleyball, wrestling, swimming, golf, and tennis, there is no question why Arab City Schools is one of Alabama’s top-performing public school system.

Superintendent's Welcome

On behalf of the Arab City Board of Education, I welcome you to the Arab City Schools website. It's an honor to serve as Superintendent of this district and to have the privilege of working alongside our dedicated teachers, administrators, support staff, and community leaders to ensure a high-quality education for our students. We have a tradition of excellence in Arab City Schools. Our goal is to be champions in all that we do. We are committed to the success of our students. Our mission is to shape the future of all learners and our community. Arab City Schools is a leader in our state in this endeavor.

The accomplishments and successes of Arab City Schools are a direct result of partnerships within our community. We are supported by our partnerships with our local government officials, businesses, civic clubs, and parental organizations. Our district is made up of four outstanding schools: Arab Primary, Arab Elementary, Arab Junior High, and Arab High. These schools are led by outstanding administrators who serve alongside an incredible faculty and staff. In 2019, each school in our district received an “A” on the ALSDE State Report Card. Our community is extremely proud of the work we are doing in our school district. We will continue to strive for excellence in all that we do.

Arab is our community. Arab City Schools is your school district. Please join me in a united effort to support all of our children and our community. I encourage you to stay informed of all that is happening within our school system by regularly reviewing our website or following us on Facebook or Twitter (@ArabCitySchools). If we can be of service to you, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

It is a great honor to serve as your superintendent. I look forward to working alongside each of you to provide the best education possible for our students.
