 Hamster News

Sad news for our class.  Toby, our hamster, died in his sleep October 7.  He was loved and will be missed by all of the students.  We knew he was getting older and was not in the best of health, but we also realize this is typical of a hamster's life span. We enjoyed him for about 3 years and that is about how long they live.

The class is collecting money to purchase another hamster.  Then we will select a name and post his/her picture.

Clara Belle, is a dark brown and white female, who lives in a wire cage.  We prefer wire cages instead of the pretty plastic ones because she kept trying to escape.

                  AstroBowl

Twelve students competed Friday, May 4, in Huntsville in the scholars bowl of space – AstroBowl, an annual aerospace quiz competition for 4th - 12th grade students in Alabama . Students were guizzed in categories such as N.A.S.A. Spinoffs, Space History, and Current Events.

Teams were competing for a chance to attend the prestigious National Space Club of Huntsville's von Braun Awards Dinner in October, a visit to local aerospace industries, and trophies.

We had one 5th grade team, one 4th grade team, and one 4th-5th grade team. 

Congratulations!
