Teacher Achievement

The administrators and teachers in the Arab City School system are highly qualified professional educators.  All administrative staff hold AA certification, the highest certificate granted by the State of Alabama.

Among teachers, almost 70% have earned advanced graduate level degrees.

Teacher of the Year Award

Each year, the Arab City School System selects an elementary and secondary Teacher of the Year.  These teachers are nominated by the school district for the Alabama Teacher of the Year Award.  The 2005-2006 Secondary Teacher of the Year is Scott Butler.  The 2005-2006 Elementary Teacher of the Year is Lola Haas.
