Operating Procedures

  • Hours: 7:00 am – 3:00pm

  • When checking out materials, students must have a library card.
Students may check out two books for a period of two weeks.

  • Books may be renewed, for an additional two weeks. They must be brought to the library media center and  must be stamped with a new due date.

  • A fine is charged for overdue materials. The fine is ten cents per school day. Please return items even if you do not have money to pay the fine immediately. This stops the overdue charge and allows items to return to circulation.

  • Students must return all library materials and pay all overdue charges before each semester ends. Should a student be unable to pay, arrangements should be made with one of the library media specialists.

  •  The library patron whose account was used to check out materials must pay for damaged or lost items.

  •  Students are expected to follow the Arab City Schools Acceptable Use Policy when using library computers.

  • Both student and faculty suggestions for the purchase of new materials are welcome.
