Mission Statement

 
The mission of the Social Studies Department of Arab High School is to provide students with a comprehensive coverage of the essential and vital components which constitute the overall human experience.  Through both required and elective courses we strive to influence students to become positive, contributing members of society who demonstrate an understanding of the dynamics of human behavior.  Using diverse methods of instruction we attempt to challenge students to appreciate the cultural and historical past of our great nation while also embracing its future. We also endeavor to encourage students to develop into law-abiding , moral citizens who are tolerant of others with different ethnic, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds from their own.  We will involve the family, school and community to cooperatively accomplish this task.
