Welcome! Welcome to Arab Junior High School's parent page! The administration, faculty and staff of AJHS strive to connect parents with helpful information online. More importantly, we thank each of you for the wonderful students we welcome into our classrooms each year.
STI Home and Parent e-Mail List Parents can access updated information regarding their children's grades and attendance via registered access to STI Home. Click here for additional information on STI Home. Parents are also encouraged to join the AJHS Parent e-Mail List to receive daily announcements and other valuable information on school events throughout the school year. Click here to join, and be sure to provide your name, student's name and student's grade at AJHS.
PTO The goal of the Arab Junior High PTO is to provide parents with opportunities to take an active and vital role in the educational development of their children. The AJHS PTO meets twice annually, once per semester. The PTO organizes fund-raisers and contributes school-related programs.
Parent Volunteer Opportunities Arab Junior High School benefits from the enthusiastic support, time and talents of community volunteers. The administration, faculty and staff welcome participation from students' families and community representatives. We are all stakeholders in our children's futures! Specific volunteer opportunities are described below.
Library Media Center Book Fairs The AJHS Library Media Center hosts at least two books fairs per school year. Parents assist with collecting payments, re-ordering items and assisting students with their purchases. Parents are also invited to assist with decorating for the fair and planning fun activities and contests for students to participate in while shopping the book fair. Contact Shannon Griggs, library media specialist, if you would like to assist with this years' book fairs.
Media Center Scrapbook Contact Shannon Griggs, library media specialist if you enjoy scrapbooking! The library media center maintains an annual Creative Memories scrapbook of school activities and newspaper clippings. Parents clip newspaper articles from local newspapers and arrange scrapbook pages using the articles, photographs, stickers, die-cuts, borders and other scrapbook materials. Each Creative Memories scrapbook is on display in the reference section of the AJHS Library Media Center and is archived as a record of yearly events.
