Mrs. Emily Stapler

Hello! My name is Emily Stapler. I have been a Physical Education teacher since 2006, and have been employed at Arab City Schools since 2009. I am married to Brad Stapler, and we have two daughters, Julie and Jill.

Arab is my hometown. I graduated from Arab High School in 2000. The University of North Alabama is where I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. After graduating from UNA, I worked at Therapy Plus at MMCN for one year as an Exercise Physiologist and building supervisor. I worked as a Physical Education teacher at West Elementary School in Cullman for the next three years. During that time, I completed my Masters Degree in Physical Education from Jacksonville State University. In 2009 I started working at AES and AJHS. I coached track and field for 4 years and cross country for 9 years. I enjoy anything fitness and sports related. Running is my favorite hobby. I am currently the girls golf coach at AHS and help with the Archery Program for Arab.

I begin my day at AES teaching 3rd and 4th grade PE before transitioning to AJHS to teach 6th grade girls PE. As a PE teacher, I have the opportunity to introduce a variety of fitness activities and sports skills that students can use for the rest of their lives. I enjoy teaching students the importance of exercise and taking care of their heart and body. The PE staff at AES and AJHS enjoys making PE a fun, exciting, safe, and educational experience for all students.
