Dr. Mark Edwards

I am a proud 1996 graduate of Arab High School! I returned home to Arab City Schools in 2015 as the assistant principal at Arab High School. In July 2018, I accepted the position of principal at Arab Junior High School. My career in education began at Morgan County Schools as a teacher/coach and assistant principal/athletic director at A.P. Brewer High School. I served at Brewer until 2014, when I was hired as Lacey's Spring School principal in Morgan County. My wife, Kara, and I have two children, Lane and Jada. Lane is currently in the eleventh grade at Arab High School, and Jada is in sixth grade at Arab Junior High School.

It shall be the policy of the Board that the School District shall provide on a nondiscriminatory basis, equal educational opportunities for students. All programs offered by schools within the School District shall be open to all students. Equal access will be granted to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups consistent with statutory and judicial requirements. The School District may condition access and/or the privilege to participate in certain events and/or activities on the students and parents/guardians executing required waivers and hold harmless agreements which, in the event of accident or injury, would indemnify and hold harmless the School District and its employees harmless from any and all liabilities or claims made by individuals or entities as a result of a students’ participation in a given event.
