Students learning in a fun and creative environment is crucial. The classes I teach, hopefully, measure up to this standard on a daily basis. My teaching career began in the fall of 1997 at Arab High School. I teach AP United States History and 12th grade English. Over the years, I have coached football, track, and soccer. In addition, I am the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Huddle leader.

My wife Maggie (third grade ELA teacher) and I have two boys, Harrison and John David. We attend Gilliam Springs Baptist church. I am originally from Florence, Alabama. My hobbies include duck hunting and spending as much time outdoors as possible! I love teaching and working with students; it is my calling!
