Dr. Jason Watts

I have more than 25 years of classroom experience at the middle school, high school, and college levels.  High-quality instruction is my passion, and I try to create an engaging environment where every student feels welcome and can find success.  I began my career at Tuscaloosa Middle School in 1993, moved to Guntersville High School in 1997, and then to Snead State Community College in 2003, where I spent 7 years in the math department before moving into administration in 2010.  After six years in administration, I returned to the classroom in 2016.  After a year at Ashville High School in St. Clair County, I came to Arab in August 2017.  I currently teach Algebra I and AP Calculus, and I coach the Scholars Bowl Team.  I feel blessed to be at Arab High School.

My wife, Marilyn, and I have one son, Jason Daniel, who is a student at Arab High School.  We enjoy eating out, science fiction, video games, and superhero shows.  We have four dogs: Quisit, Sawyer, Eleven, and Rerun.
