Mrs. Mashell Wehn
Teaching is in my blood. Growing up in a home of educators in Arizona, I knew I wanted to be an educator. After graduating with a degree from the University of Arizona, I began my teaching career in 2005 in Tucson, Arizona. During my time as an educator, I have taught different levels of English to a wide variety of learners. However, the one thing that has remained a constant in my career is my love for teaching. My teaching centers on helping students develop skills in reading and writing. The most delicate work I do is helping students gain control over language, so they can work effectively, present themselves confidently to the world, and accomplish the goals they set for themselves.
Currently, I live in Huntsville with my two children, Asher and Lena, and my husband, Jason. I love reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy trying new and adventurous activities: skydiving, ziplining, and swimming with sharks. I am grateful to have a job that allows me to draw on the elements of teaching that have long been a part of who I am while working with students who continue to inspire me each day.
I currently teach 9th Grade English and 10th grade Pre-AP English at Arab High School.
