Ms. Misti Welborn
I started teaching in 2010. I come from the nursing workforce, where I started in 1998 and have a vast experience in medical surgical care, emergency department, day surgery, preadmission care, endoscopy care, recovery room care, outpatient care including blood transfusions, injections, intravenous fluid care, portacath care, phlebotomy, EKG monitoring, and hospice care. I moved to Arab in 1989 from Bowling Green, Kentucky. I am a huge Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan-I mean BIG. The uniqueness of the color royal blue is that not only is that one of my favorite colors, but it also correlates with all of my school colors:Arab city schools, Snead State Community College, University of Alabama in Huntsville. Like I always say "I truly bleed blue!" You will more often than not see me wearing royal blue. I have two boys that I truly adore and support in all of their endeavors. I also am a past basketball and softball player that was blessed to be involved in state championships in softball and regional and county placements in basketball and softball. My hobbies include supporting my students throughout their activity involvements as well. I often refer to my students as my children and my own children refer to my students as "my other kids". I truly am blessed to be able to share my experiences and teach students my love and care of others.
I currently teach health science, patient care, and human body structure at Arab High School.
