I began the Spanish program here at Arab High School in 1990. I am originally from DeKalb county and am a graduate of Fort Payne High School. I feel most fortunate to spend my days doing what I love. Spanish is both my job and my favorite pastime, and sharing it with young people makes my days especially fulfilling. I have traveled to a number of Spanish-speaking countries and enjoy using my Spanish to get to know new people.

Currently, I teach Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Pre AP and AP Spanish and am the sponsor of our school's chapter of the Spanish National Honor Society, which seeks to find ways to encourage the enjoyment and study of Spanish and its cultures outside the classroom.  I live in Guntersville with my husband and our two wonderful children.
