Mrs. Maggie Hall
Hello, and welcome to 5th Grade at AES! I am thrilled to be a part of this school and the exciting year we are having!
I was born and raised in Guntersville, AL. I graduated from the Univeristy of Alabama in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in 1997 at Arab Elementary School teaching third grade. During my second year of teaching I began working on my Master's Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Alabama's Gadsden Center. I graduated with a Master of Arts in 2000. Currently, I am in my 23rd year of teaching at AES. After our school transitioned to team teaching, I became an English Language Arts teacher. This year is my first year to teach 5th grade ELA, and I am very excited!
I am married to David Hall who is a teacher and football coach at Arab High School. We have been married for 22 years and have two sons, Harrison who is 18, and John David, who is 14. Harrison graduated from Arab High School in May 2019 and is a freshman at Auburn University this year. John David is an freshman at Arab High School and is involved in athletics and extra curricular activities. He plays football, basketball, and baseball. It keeps us very busy, but I enjoy watching him play!
Heath and fitness is important to me. I especially enjoy running and walking outdoors. Other hobbies of mine include reading, cooking, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy being active in church. My faith is essential in every part of my life. My family attends Gilliam Springs Baptist Church.
I look forward to partnering with you to help your child read, write, learn, explore, and grow this school year!
