Monthly Board Meetings

The Arab City Schools Board of Education will meet on the fourth Thursday of each month unless otherwise noted. Meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Arab High School Media Center.

About Board Meetings

Board meetings are open to the public, allowing anyone to attend. While the meetings are open, there are specific rules and processes regarding how an individual or group may address the Board. To learn more about Board meeting policy and procedures, please call the Central Office at 256-586-6011.

It shall be the policy of the Board that the School District shall provide on a nondiscriminatory basis, equal educational opportunities for students. No student shall be denied the benefits of any educational program or activity on the basis of race, ethnicity, disability, ability, creed, national origin, religion, or gender. All programs offered by schools within the School District shall be open to all students. Equal access will be granted to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups consistent with statutory and judicial requirements. The School District may condition access and/or the privilege to participate in certain events and/or activities on the students and parents/guardians executing required waivers and hold harmless agreements which, in the event of accident or injury, would indemnify and hold harmless the School District and its employees harmless from any and all liabilities or claims made by individuals or entities as a result of a students’ participation in a given event.
