Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Blake Beam

I am an Arab High School alumni class of 2010 and truly enjoy working with students at a place that means so much to me. I graduated from Athens State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and a minor in secondary education in the summer of 2016. Following graduation I worked for Shelby County Schools at Helena Middle School where I taught 7th grade math and coached football. After one year in Helena we decided to move closer to home. I accepted a teaching and coaching position at Boaz High School where I taught math and coached football and baseball. After two years at Boaz I was presented with an opportunity to return home to Arab High School. I jumped on the opportunity and have enjoyed every day since. I currently teach Geometry and Algebra II along with coaching football and baseball.

My wife, Katie, is also an alumni of Arab High School. We have two boys, Cooper and Canaan. We attend Warrior Creek Missionary Baptist Church. We enjoy being a part and serving the community in any way we can. Again, I am grateful to work in a school system as great as Arab City School and look forward to providing a great learning experience. Go Knights!
