My name is Karen Chamness. I am delighted to be back at Arab High School! I taught in the Arab School System for thirty years. I have a Masters Degree in Mathematics, a Major in English and a Minor in History. I was also working concurrently with Snead. 

State Community College as an adjunct instructor, teaching classes at night and in summers. When I retired from Arab Schools, I took a position with Snead State Community College as Assistant to the Director/ Mathematics Instructor at the Arab Site. I also taught ACT preparation for Wallace State and various courses for Faulkner University. 

I have taught a wide variety of courses, including: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Math Team, Analysis 1 and 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1 and 2, Basic and Pascal Computer Programming, Mathematics for Teachers, Nursing Calculations, ACT Preparation and GED Preparation. 

I am very excited to be serving as a Mathematics Interventionist this year at Arab High School!
